Harvest
We went to the Farm with the Brownies this morning. The girls went on a hayride to the pumpkin patch, where they were able to choose a pumpkin, then they painted it, we went through the haymaze, and then had ice cream! A fun time was had by all.

Suffering from neglect
I know I've neglected my Blog lately. I've been fighting a bit of the blues lately and I think I'm finally winning! I'm going to try harder to update more often :)
A Princess Turns 7
My darling girl is 7 today. Just doesn't seem possible that she was ever a tiny little baby, she's so grown up.
Here's a card I made for the Princess.
CS is Bazzill, PP is from the Glitter Stack by DCWV, stamps are Studio G, Ink is SU, I used the Cuttlebug Happy Birthday Embossing folder, as well.

Things that make you go hmmmmm...
Every Memorial and Veterans Day, a resident of my hometown (the one I lived in when I was born, and hope to end up again someday - the one I drive through 4 times a week on my way to work), puts up these signs on telephone poles along Route 16 for the soldiers killed in Iraq. This year, I believe he's only put up the names of those who have died in the last 6 months, which numbered 653 as of Sunday. This one really got to me...19 years old, not yet old enough to legally drink, but old enough to die for our country. It's tragic.

Sunflower Sundress
I bought this fabric at Jo-Ann's (already smocked), and made it into a dress with straps for Morgan. It didn't take too long and it was fun.
Farm Fun
Here's some pictures from our Brownie field trip at the farm last Tuesday. I missed a couple days last week so here's a bunch ;)

Recital
Morgan's fourth recital. On the way there, she was very quiet, I asked her if she was nervous and she said, "No, I'm not nervous, this is my fourth recital. I just want to listen to the music." She did great. I wasn't able to get many (only one), good picture on stage, no flash photography allowed, but here is one after the show was over. She was exhausted! It was after 9:00.

Playing in the Sprinkler!
Yes, it is hot enough today to break out the sprinkler. I hope it cools off when the sun goes down, I’m not a good sleeper in the heat.
May flowers
And, I missed Wednesday, too…To make up for missing so many days, here are a bunch of pictures taken today…
My phlox, in bloom.
Up close and personal with the phlox.
My bleeding heart, this will get at least 3 times this big by the end of spring.
Extreme close up!
A violet (stupid weeds).
Lilacs!

Dance, Ballerina, Dance
Yeah, and so I missed Saturday, Sunday and Monday too…This is from Tuesday. Morgan’s Dress Rehearsal for her recital, which is this Friday.
Here's a close up. All the others I took focused behind her, sigh...Not my best photo day.
Goin' to the Chapel
So I missed Wednesday and Thursday. This is from Friday. It’s a bit dark, but it’s from the rehearsal at the Chapel. My brother-in-law, Bob walking Betsy down the aisle. Erica, my niece, made her bow bouquet from presents Betsy got at her shower.
Rite of Passage
My baby no longer needs her big carseats. She's now just in a booster. Here are the two carseats waiting to be taken away in the trash :(
I know, I'm way behind...
I have a couple of photos to post that were taken on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday of last week, but then I fell behind.
Here's Sunday's. This is my little Ginger. The least photogenic of my three cats, and the most neurotic ;)

Guestbook
I made this guestbook for Betsy and Sean's wedding (next Saturday!!!). I used Christine's instructions for the accordian folded binding, adding ribbon and also adding a ribbon to the front. It's not perfect, but I like it and I think Betsy does too (I made her come over and look at it). She didn't want any flowers in the front (shucks), but liked the simple cover. She's going to type up all the info and I'll print it and put it inside the front cover. I left the ribbons a bit long so my sister can play with the bow.
CIAC
This is where I get my crack in a cup, aka a Dunkin Donuts Caramel Swirl Iced Latte. It's like heaven in a plastic glass. :)

My spot
Since I missed yesterday, here's a second photo for today. This is where I sit and scrap. You can see Morgan's Littlest Pet Shop toys in the background. This table doubles/triples as our dining room table too. This is where we eat all our at home meals. Don't you love our mismatched chairs?! I sure don't!
Thinking of you
Christine challenged us to make 6 different "charming" Thinking of You cards. Here are mine. Good news, I think I may have gotten some of my mojo back ;)
I missed Wednesday...
I'm bad, I missed Wednesday. I forgot to bring my camera to work with me and softball was canceled so I missed taking any pictures!

Lilacs #2
My lilacs have definitely popped! The leaves are coming in and there are a few where you can see there will be flowers. Can't wait till they flower. Love the smell :) These are the white, but the purple have flowers too!
Bobby Socks & Cleats
Morgan got herself dressed for her softball game on Monday. She had ruffled bobby socks on that she had worn all day, so she just took off her sneakers and put her cleats on with them. Softball was fun. Beautiful night for it!
Here she is covering 2nd base. The Twisters played the "Mud Dogs" (may be spelled "Dawgs") last night!
Even Princesses Play Softball
Here's Morgan practicing softball with Dan on Sunday, wearing a skirt, tights, and little ballet flats. She truly is a princess.
Sewing Class
Morgan and I had sewing class on Saturday. We made a cute little circle skirt and blouse for April (she named the doll April). Morgan picked out all the fabric herself. She's got a great eye.
Guest Book
My sister asked me to make a guest book for an anniversary party she went to on Saturday. Here is the front cover. I was pleased with how it came out. I put little blurbs about 1982 through out. She even paid me ;)

Pottery Fun
Today we spent the morning with the Brownies. We went to a pottery place where the girls got to choose a bowl, cup, or plate to paint. They will be glazed and fired and ready for pick up next week. Here is Morgan, busy at work, and a shot of some of the finished projects. After painting, we went to Pizzeria Uno for lunch. 11 little girls and 4 adults. It was fun, but loud!
Time Lapse #2
This building is covered in beautiful green ivy all summer. Right now it looks crummy, but I think we'll see some green soon ;)

$1 Stamps
One of my downfalls is (are?) stamps. I just can't get enough of them. These are the new $1 ones from AC Moore and Joann Fabrics.
Boston Marathon, Patriot's Day
The 111th running of the Boston Marathon was Monday. It was very cold, wet, windy, and overall miserable. I saw Elvis running, a couple men wearing horns, and a group of women wearing pink boas, but wasn't able to get their pictures. Here is one of the street, we are about 100 yards from a water station. Look at all those empty cups!
Time Lapse
These are my lilac bushes (early in the year). I hope to take a few photos as they fill in a bit more. Hopefully, I'll have some flowers this year!
Weathervanes
These weathervanes are on a building I pass several times a week on my way to work. I liked the look of the ominous clouds in the background.
