Here's Morgan, Emily and Kate at the Monster Bash on Saturday night.

The First Fairy House

Looks like the poor fairy cousins lived here ;)

Lark's Fairy House

Morgan spent a week at Girl Scout day camp this summer. The theme of the week was Magical Kingdom. They made magic wands and crowns, and fairy houses. We decided to build a fairy house in our back yard. We now have a Wood Fairy named Lark who lives in the fairy house. She uses the house to relax with her friends, a frog named Mudlegs and a blue bird named Blue Bill. Lark leaves notes in the mailbox for Morgan and loves the house we built for her. Here are some pictures. (Dan's PS3 died the weekend Morgan and I went to Canada, the house got a major face lift while we were gone - earlier photos to follow).

A favorite

Just looking through my Disney pictures from last year to order some for a calendar for Dan. This has got to be one of my all time favorites. Not the best, but Morgan's expression just warms my heart.

Birthday Fun with Fondue!

I'm very very belated in posting this, but better late than never right?

We brought Morgan to The Melting Pot for dessert and gifts on her 8th birthday. Here she is enjoying herself and her dessert. She wasn't crazy about the marshmallows, as you can see in the last picture.

Relay for Life

There's not a lot I can say about the Relay for Life. It was hot, it was so much fun, but it was also a very very emotional day. I had a great time and laughed a lot (especially around 2 and 3 am :) ). Thank goodness we weren't right above the sprinklers, that's a 4:18 am wake-up call I got to do without.

Smiles for Miles was named Best New Team and we raised more than $8,000 for cancer research. What a wonderful and giving group of friends we have!

Morgan was a dream. She spent nearly 12 hours in the heat and sun and only complained a little (when she was told she had to leave ;) ).

Locks of Love

Morgan and I grew our hair out to donate for wig-making. Yesterday was the big day to get the cut! Morgan cut off more than a foot, and mine was about 10 or 11 inches. Here are before and after photos.

Dancing Queen

The big day is Saturday! So you think you can dance?

Morgan in her 3 costumes:

Memorial Day Parade

The Brownies marched in the Parade on Monday. It was very hot, but there was a nice breeze, so it didn't feel too bad.

Morgan & Emily waiting patiently at the monument for the speeches.

Rocky Raccoon

We moved Mom into her new apartment and while looking out the window to the back, we saw Rocky Raccoon sitting on the fallen tree cleaning himself! Isn't he cute?

Memorial Day Program...

In the rain. Last year we were packing frozen ice bottles for the Memorial Day program. To beat the heat, they scheduled it for earlier in the day, unfortunately, Mother Nature wasn't told of the change in plans. It was cold and drizzly, but always a nice way to honor our veterans.

Farm Fun!

We brought the Brownies to the farm to earn their plants try-it. This kitty was sitting in the field, looking for mice, I think!

The girls planted seeds to bring home and lettuce seeds for the salad garden at the farm.

Starting Pitcher!

The Divas started pitching last night (they practiced for about 30 minutes before the game). Each inning, the coach chose a girl to pitch. Morgan was the first girl chosen to pitch! She did great. She pitched to each hitter 4 or 5 times and then the coach took over. A few girls got hits off of her, and she got a little tired toward the end of the inning, but she was very proud of herself!

You Can't Stop the Beat!

Morgan and I took a trip into the Wang Theater to see Hairspray! It was so much fun and the show was fabulous!

Boston Sports Club

We spent last Friday night at the Boston Sports Club in Franklin. 16 girls came, but only 9 stayed overnight. They played a lot of games, earned their GirlSports Try-it, kickboxed, and danced to Hannah Montana songs! We were up and out early. It was fun for the girls. I don't think I slept much, but it was all for the girls anyhow!

Mr. Kitten Britches

The Prince of the House :)

Brownie Bowling!

We took 18 Brownies bowling yesterday. I think they had fun, but it was very chaotic for us leaders.
This is Morgan and her friend Emily :)

Shelly is one of the girls who got a strike. Not necessarily on this ball, but you get the idea!
