Guestbook

I made this guestbook for Betsy and Sean's wedding (next Saturday!!!). I used Christine's instructions for the accordian folded binding, adding ribbon and also adding a ribbon to the front. It's not perfect, but I like it and I think Betsy does too (I made her come over and look at it). She didn't want any flowers in the front (shucks), but liked the simple cover. She's going to type up all the info and I'll print it and put it inside the front cover. I left the ribbons a bit long so my sister can play with the bow.

CIAC

This is where I get my crack in a cup, aka a Dunkin Donuts Caramel Swirl Iced Latte. It's like heaven in a plastic glass. :)

My spot

Since I missed yesterday, here's a second photo for today. This is where I sit and scrap. You can see Morgan's Littlest Pet Shop toys in the background. This table doubles/triples as our dining room table too. This is where we eat all our at home meals. Don't you love our mismatched chairs?! I sure don't!

Thinking of you

Christine challenged us to make 6 different "charming" Thinking of You cards. Here are mine. Good news, I think I may have gotten some of my mojo back ;)

I missed Wednesday...

I'm bad, I missed Wednesday. I forgot to bring my camera to work with me and softball was canceled so I missed taking any pictures!

Lilacs #2

My lilacs have definitely popped! The leaves are coming in and there are a few where you can see there will be flowers. Can't wait till they flower. Love the smell :) These are the white, but the purple have flowers too!

Bobby Socks & Cleats

Morgan got herself dressed for her softball game on Monday. She had ruffled bobby socks on that she had worn all day, so she just took off her sneakers and put her cleats on with them. Softball was fun. Beautiful night for it!

Here she is covering 2nd base. The Twisters played the "Mud Dogs" (may be spelled "Dawgs") last night!

Even Princesses Play Softball

Here's Morgan practicing softball with Dan on Sunday, wearing a skirt, tights, and little ballet flats. She truly is a princess.

Sewing Class

Morgan and I had sewing class on Saturday. We made a cute little circle skirt and blouse for April (she named the doll April). Morgan picked out all the fabric herself. She's got a great eye.

Guest Book

My sister asked me to make a guest book for an anniversary party she went to on Saturday. Here is the front cover. I was pleased with how it came out. I put little blurbs about 1982 through out. She even paid me ;)

Pottery Fun

Today we spent the morning with the Brownies. We went to a pottery place where the girls got to choose a bowl, cup, or plate to paint. They will be glazed and fired and ready for pick up next week. Here is Morgan, busy at work, and a shot of some of the finished projects. After painting, we went to Pizzeria Uno for lunch. 11 little girls and 4 adults. It was fun, but loud!

Time Lapse #2

This building is covered in beautiful green ivy all summer. Right now it looks crummy, but I think we'll see some green soon ;)

$1 Stamps

One of my downfalls is (are?) stamps. I just can't get enough of them. These are the new $1 ones from AC Moore and Joann Fabrics.

Boston Marathon, Patriot's Day

The 111th running of the Boston Marathon was Monday. It was very cold, wet, windy, and overall miserable. I saw Elvis running, a couple men wearing horns, and a group of women wearing pink boas, but wasn't able to get their pictures. Here is one of the street, we are about 100 yards from a water station. Look at all those empty cups!

Time Lapse

These are my lilac bushes (early in the year). I hope to take a few photos as they fill in a bit more. Hopefully, I'll have some flowers this year!

MDDD

Photo to be added later ;)

I can't add it now, it'd give it away!

Weathervanes

These weathervanes are on a building I pass several times a week on my way to work. I liked the look of the ominous clouds in the background.

At school

I spent over 2 hours at M's school last Thursday. We had to make decorations for the Spring Dance, it took a while. While I was there, I was able to take pictures of the kids in the class for a "project" I'm working on for the teacher. This is my little angel ;)

Penguins at play?

I saw this on my way to work yesterday. I actually turned around and went back, never so glad to have my camera with me. I can't even describe it, it's just too funny!

Disney, Baby...Oh yeah!

I forgot to bring my camera with me yesterday, so the only picture I took was this one! Yep, we're going back to Disney. August 31st-September 7th. It will be hotter than hell, but hey, I could stand to lose a few pounds anyway. They have mist tents and we can spend the hot afternoon hours by the pool. It's all good. Speaking of losing a few pounds, I'm going back to Weight Watchers and getting myself in shape (hopefully for good) before this trip. I see lots and lots of walking in my future!

Alley McCat

This is Alley McCat. My little half-Siamese kitty. It's hard to believe that she's going to be 10 this year. She's very fun. She likes to talk to me. If I raise my voice, even just to call Morgan upstairs, she comes running and crying. She has a few little "things" she does. She likes to lick wet legs right out of the shower, she licks my perfume off my wrists, and she knows when to ask for Pounce (after the dishes are done every night). The first picture was taken on Saturday, I just thought it was so funny...She was sitting at the counter in the kitchen right before we colored eggs and I caught her right before a cry. The second one was taken today, sitting next to me at the computer. She came running when I coughed ;)

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday. The EB hid lots of eggs full of candy. Later, Morgan got more gifts from her grandparents and uncle. She's so spoiled! She got 3 movies yesterday, Barbie and the Rainbow (I can't remember what it's called), Happy Feet, and Charlotte's Web. I must say that she really liked this version of Charlotte's Web. She hated the first one. She got so much candy, I'm going to have to dole it out piece by piece.

We had a nice day. Dan's parents, his brother and his girlfriend, and my mom all came over for dinner. We had ham, potatoes, green bean casserole and rolls. I made fresh strawberry shortcake (I can't wait to have more of that), but Cindy brought cannolis, brownies, and an apple pie! Talk about sugar high. Sooooo good!

Dan hid some eggs outside (those ones had cash in them) and she had a quick egg hunt, it was very cold Sunday.

Eggs a la Spongebob

I love coloring eggs. It's a fun way to get messy, but clean up easily. Morgan had a fun time, after having a bit of a tantrum over not wanting to use the Spongebob egg wraps. Once she saw what they did, she really liked them.

Spray Painted Lawn

Here it is, the spray painted lawn. I was taking this on the sly, so it's hard to see, but if you look closely, you can see the neighbor's brown lawn in the back. Too funny ;)

Super Cat!

Oh my, Valerie has too much time on her hands. Look at what she did to yesterday's picture of Super Fat, I mean Super Cat.

Thanks Valerie, Morgan loved it!

Fat Bandit

Here's my fat kitty, Bandit. We also call him Chubbs-A-Lot, Fatty Magee, and Chubby-Bubkins, to name a few. :)

Springtime in New England - April Snow

Springtime in New England. It's snowing. It's not only snowing, it's hailing, freezing rain, and icy. Fun, fun. The view from my back deck.

Saggy Baggy Daffodils

Yes, I do have daffodils. Well, my office has daffodils. Did I ever tell you about how the landlord of my building (an old colonial house in a downtown district), spray paints the lawn green every St. Patrick's Day? Well, you can see a teeny bit of it here, with the very saggy, baggy, poor rained-on daffodils, but I'll get a picture this week, showing the neighbor's yard as well. Seriously, it's crazy ;)

Hey now you're a rock star!

I brought my camera to work with me yesterday. I was looking for the horses that I sometimes see on my way, but they weren't out. It was dreary and cold and drizzly, so I hope they were inside. The horses still weren't out on my way home, so I took this picture of my little rock star after school. I braided her hair while it was still wet on Sunday, she wore the braid Monday, but when we took it out Tuesday morning, it was all wavy and big! Someone asked her if she was having a bad hair day ;)

Tip toe through the tulips

Apparently, I have a thing for flowers. These tulips were the centerpieces of the tables at the bridal shower (I got to take one home!). I love the colors.

Let them eat cake!

Can I do it? Can I take a photo a day for a year? Well, I'm going to try. It's worth a shot, right? :)

Sunday was my niece's bridal shower. I took this picture of the top of the cake. It was a Strawberry Grand Marnier from Konditor Meister. It was so good!
